Arrange & Print
Tool 03 · Tiled poster maker

Print a poster on multiple pages.

Split one image across a grid of A4 or Letter sheets. Add optional overlap and cut marks, check the numbered previews, then download your poster PDF.

1. Add an image

JPG, PNG and WebP. Up to 30 images, 20 MiB per file, 12 megapixels per image, 32 megapixels total and 80 MiB of normalized image data. Decoded pixels alone can use about 128 MB; previews and PDF creation need additional memory. Smaller files are safer on low-memory devices. Maximum 30 PDF pages.

    2. Set up the page

The image is center-cropped to fill the poster when the proportions differ. Assemble from the top left, one row at a time.

    3. Preview every page

For actual dimensions, print the PDF at 100% or Actual size. Turn off “Fit to page.” Printer settings and hardware margins can affect the result. Try the 10 cm ruler test.

All pages appear below. Transparent areas show the white paper underneath. Your images are processed locally, without uploads or permanent storage.

Turn one picture into a multi-page poster

Choose the number of columns and rows to set your poster grid. Each sheet uses the space inside your page margins. The picture is scaled evenly and center-cropped when its proportions differ from the complete poster, so check the outer edges in the previews.

Overlap repeats a narrow strip of the image on neighboring pages. That shared strip helps align the sheets and leaves a place to attach them. The pages are numbered in row order, starting at the top left. Cut marks show the corners of the image area inside the margins.

    Example: a 2 × 2 A4 poster

With portrait A4 paper, 10 mm margins and 5 mm overlap, the assembled image area measures 375 × 549 mm. Each page has a 190 × 277 mm image area, with a shared 5 mm strip at each join. The overlapping strips are repeated content, so they do not add to the final size.

    Before assembling the sheets

Print every page at 100% or Actual size, using the same settings. Trim one edge of each join, align the repeated image details and attach from the back. Read the poster assembly guide before cutting, and check image resolution before making a large print.

    Frequently asked questions

Why are parts of the original image cropped?

The image fills the entire poster area without stretching. When its proportions differ from the grid, the excess is cropped from the center. Try another grid or page orientation.

Does overlap make the finished poster larger?

No. A shared strip appears on adjacent sheets. The final width and height are reduced by the overlap at each join.

    Should I use borderless printing?

Use the chosen margins and Actual size. Some borderless modes enlarge the image automatically, which can stop neighboring pieces from lining up.

How many poster pages can I create?

The poster grid supports up to five columns and five rows, or 25 sheets. Larger prints may need a higher-resolution original to remain clear.
