Tool 02 · Exact photo size

Print a photo at the size you need.

Enter a frame width and height in centimeters or millimeters. Keep the complete image or crop it to fill, with a preview before you print.

1. Add an image

JPG, PNG and WebP. Up to 30 images, 20 MiB per file, 12 megapixels per image, 32 megapixels total and 80 MiB of normalized image data. Decoded pixels alone can use about 128 MB; previews and PDF creation need additional memory. Smaller files are safer on low-memory devices. Maximum 30 PDF pages.

    2. Set up the page

The dashed frame is a preview guide only. Fit leaves blank space when needed; Crop trims edges to fill the frame. Neither option stretches your image.

    3. Preview every page

For actual dimensions, print the PDF at 100% or Actual size. Turn off “Fit to page.” Printer settings and hardware margins can affect the result. Try the 10 cm ruler test.

All pages appear below. Transparent areas show the white paper underneath. Your images are processed locally, without uploads or permanent storage.

    Fit versus crop: what changes?

Fit scales the image evenly until the entire picture sits inside your requested frame. If its proportions do not match the frame, two sides have blank space. Crop scales evenly until the frame is completely filled, then trims the excess equally from opposite edges. Neither option stretches the image.

    Example: a square photo in a 10 × 15 cm frame

Set the frame width to 10 cm and height to 15 cm. Fit gives you a 10 × 10 cm image with 2.5 cm of space above and below. Crop fills the full 10 × 15 cm frame, but removes part of the image from the left and right. Switch between the two options and check faces or text near the edges.

Accurate PDF dimensions need the right print settings

The frame is centered on the paper and must fit within your chosen margins. The PDF uses 72 points per inch and 25.4 mm per inch. That defines the dimensions in the file; your print dialog can still shrink or enlarge them. Choose 100% or Actual size and test the result with the printable 10 cm ruler.

Read the actual-size printing guide if a correctly sized PDF comes out smaller on paper. For several different pictures on a sheet, try the photo layout tool.

    Frequently asked questions

Does Fit make the image itself the exact frame size?

Only when the image and frame have matching proportions. Otherwise, the complete image fits inside the exact frame dimensions with blank space on two sides. Choose Crop to fill the entire frame.

Why is my requested size rejected?

The frame is larger than the printable area left after the margins. Try landscape orientation, smaller margins supported by your printer, or a smaller frame.

Will the dashed preview frame be printed?

No. The dashed line shows the requested frame in the preview only. It is not included in the downloaded PDF.

Can I use this for official passport photos?

You can set a physical frame size, but the tool does not check official face position, background or document rules. Verify the requirements with the relevant authority.
